Defending the Roman Catholic Church

Nicholas Kristof, the Rhodes Scholar who has written so well for so long about Darfur, crimes against women, genocide, and other topics related to human rights, has been publishing columns for years in which he lauds the work of evangelicals on the ground in Africa and other places where there is crisis. Now he is defending the Roman Catholic Church in a time when most journalists are hunting with the hounds. Here is a column he recently wrote about the heroism of some of its priests and nuns:
